I have had considerable experience in writing about Cinema, Cinema Technology, Media & Photography for various publications, websites and printed materials. I can research. write and produce effective copy to deadline and for a wide variety of purposes.

I have had film reviews published, been a regular contributor to "What Video" magazine, a technical advisor and co-author for two books on photography - one being established as an introductory textbook. In recent years published work has included work as a contributor and features writer for the leading international specialist magazine for cinema professionals - "Cinema Technology", as well as the international website "in70mm.com".

Cinema Photo Galleries

Many of the photographs featured below were taken while on assignment for Cinema Technology Magazine or other publications or websites. They were often taken with full press accreditation having been granted, or clearance having been granted from press departments or whilst on pre-arranged visits when permission to take photographs was granted by those conducting the visits.

Any other images were taken for strictly private cinema fan purposes only. Any images containing any copyright material are NOT available for sale, reproduction or any other use.

In respect of the images of film stars, actors and actresses, many Hollywood Studios issued publicity, PR and promotional photographs of their stars on a copyright free basis. These were intended for display in cinema foyers, reproduction in fan magazines and also for issue to individual fans themselves. I am grateful to the family of Barbara Johnstone (nee Stagg), who collected such images, and whose family bequeathed me this collection on her death.
